Medico’s New Dental, Vision, and Hearing Plans

Medico has always stood out for their DVH coverage and now they are rolling out with some brand new products – Medico’s Dental Plus Insurance Series. The people wanted dental only coverage and Medico delivered. And because they’re so sweet, there are also dental plus vision and hearing options. With this new line of products, I know you are overflowing with questions. Let’s break down the “who, what, when, where, and why” of Medicos new DVH plans.

Who

The new plans are designed for anyone ages 18 – 89 with no or limited coverage. But what if my client is in bad health? These plans are for your client too, as they are Guarantee Issue (don’t ask health questions). Worried these shiny new products will cost a fortune for your clients who fall on the older end of the age bracket? Don’t be. Even the most seasoned 89 year olds never have to pay more than $14 of what the young and spry 18 year olds pay (based on advertised monthly premium). Bummed that your client is male because they typically have a more expensive premium? Not today! All rates are unisex.

What

There are 3 plans available: Traditional, Preferred, and Preferred Plus.

  • Traditional is the dental ONLY plan. $1,000 yearly policy benefit.
  • Preferred includes dental, vision, and hearing options. $1,500 yearly policy benefit.
  • Preferred Plus includes dental, vision, and hearing options. $2,500 yearly policy benefit.

When and Where

The following 24 states release July 1, 2016:

MT, ND, KS, IA, LA, MS, AL, GA, ID, SD, OK, MO, WI, MI, PA, FL, UT, NE, TX, AR, IL, IN, WV, DE

Remaining states are awaiting approval.

Why

Ca$h money. These products stand alone, but they are also great additions to any Medicare supplement or Medicare Advantage plan.
